Real Ghost Tours – A Sight to be Seen!
Deciding what to do on vacation? Why not stroll through an ancient cemetery, explore a haunted house, or visit the site of a mass tragedy looking for ghostly spirits?! Check out these pictures of real ghost tours and see if a Ghost Tour should be part of your next vacation!
While in Savannah, I went on a Haunted Pub Crawl. The tour stopped at many local bars with a history of ghostly tales and paranormal sightings. The tour guides tell the tales of each location. After several pubs I was having fun, but slightly disappointed as no ghost had appeared. The last pub we arrived at was The Moon River Brewing Company. Their building is one of the oldest in town, dating back to 1821, and is considered one of the most haunted buildings in America. Again we listened to the history of past encounters, but no sightings! Bored with the ghostless ghost tour, I spotted a staircase blocked off to the public, snuck up and got this pic. Finally! A sighting.. I can see five orbs!! Two are obvious, the others you can see better in the heat mapped picture. More info on the Moon River ghosts are available on their site… www.moonriverbrewing.com/about-us/the-ghosts.
In Chicago, a ghost tour revealed orbs in just about every site visited! Although my camera didn’t pick up orbs at a few of the sites, the others on the tour caught many.
Here’s a picture taken of the Eastland Disaster site on the Chicago River, where 844 drowned in 1915, you can see there’s loads of them.
We also visited the site of the St. Valentine’s Day massacre, the Hull House, as well as the Chicago Theatre, where many people perished there trying to escape a fire in 1903. Here are some of the orbs hanging around outside the theatre, in the alley dubbed Death Alley. For a tour like this check out https://chicagohauntings.com/about.html. This seemed like a real ghost tour to me!
A recent outing on a Charleston, SC ghost tour provided no ghosts. It turned out to be just a pleasant boat ride around the Charleston Harbor. The storyteller tried, but the stories seemed to fall flat. Next time, a walking ghost tour will be in order. I’d like to visit the Old City Jail.
Whether a believer or not, you can’t deny that there are many energy orbs spotted around sites that are thought to be haunted or have been linked to a mass tragedy. Scientists are skeptical and most will tell you that it is due to something on the lens. I think it’s a little odd that there are only dots on my lenses at these sites! Just saying…..
As with every other attraction, read the reviews for the city that you are visiting! Not all ghost tours are created equal! Happy Orb Spotting!
